Hey all, I’m Catherine. I’m a Jesus-follower, wife, momma, and an absolute love-sick romantic. From the moment I discovered the Palisades books in my small Christian school library, I have been a goner! Don’t make me choose a favorite trope or ending or kiss—I love them all!
One thing unique about my work is that I don’t avoid the hard topics. I love immersing myself into subjects that I question. I love seeing the other side of things and pointing out all the gray. I find a lot of people question God, and instead of diving in to find out more about what they question, they simply set the concept down and walk away. I get it. It’s easier to accept the world’s way of seeing things instead of doing the hard work when you wonder about truth. I encourage you to read both sides. Use common sense. Listen to the Holy Spirit. Truth always has a way of revealing itself.
All right, soap box is checked. Now here’s a few random things about me for your entertainment, because humor is *always* needed in good writing. I love to garden, but you’ll typically hear me screaming my head off at the first sight of a bug—I know, I know! I’m ridiculous! But they’re gross! My first actor crush was Dean Cain—helllllloooooo Superman! I have a Bachelor’s in Communications with an emphasis on Film and Media Arts—Admission: I hate horror movies, but love TV shows like The Walking Dead and Supernatural. Yes. I’m weird like that. My husband and I met working at Blockbuster, but they wouldn’t let us date—never stand in the way of love, you will go out of business! I find it’s cruel to ask anyone what their favorite dessert is—like seriously. Don’t ask me that. And my drink choice will always be Wild Cherry Pepsi Zero—I know. Most writers you meet survive on coffee or tea. But I think you’ll find me a tad bit different, and maybe even like it.
